Chris brings 22 years of teaching experience and has coached athletes to major wins at Kids and Adult IBJJF Pans, Worlds, American Nationals and more.

GET INVOLVED

How can you help?

In addition to being a We Defy approved school, Riverfront Jiu Jitsu is the home to multiple ambassadors and mentors. Owner Elyse Shaw is the Delaware State Ambassador Coordinator, Coach Brian Grant is the National Ambassador Coordinator and Member Mike Schiavone is the Northeast Regional Ambassador Coordinator.

Riverfront Jiu Jitsu has 3 We Defy sponsored athletes who directly benefit from these donations, so this cause means even more to us.

Riverfront Fights is proud to announce that together we raised over $25,000 for the We Defy
Foundation. Through the fundraising efforts of our competitors, vendor donations and day of donations, we easily passed our goal!

Our Impact

Find out more about We defy

The We Defy Foundation provides combat veterans coping with military connected disabilities a long term means to overcome their challenges through jiu jitsu and fitness training. It costs, on average, $2500 to cover the costs of a 1 year jiu jitsu scholarship which is paid through donations.

Jiu Jitsu fosters a sense of community that is missing in the lives of our veterans. Participating in Jiu Jitsu facilitates a healthier lifestyle both mentally and physically.
